James leads a respected career as an architect devoted to excellence. His leadership empowers collaborative connections that harness the collective knowledge and talents of others. His work has ranged from educational environments such as child development centers, schools, universities, museums, and churches to complex projects for the federal government. Much of his work has included the preservation of historic properties. His personal contributions to projects have been recognized with multiple design awards.
Amanda Edwards, PA-AIC LEED Green Associate
PRINCIPAL
Amanda is an architectural conservator who brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the team. She has been responsible for the preservation of some of the nation’s most iconic buildings. Her experience includes materials testing and analysis, condition assessments, and construction documents for the preservation and stabilization of a wide variety of historic buildings. She is a native of Capitol Hill, where she lives with her husband and two beautiful daughters.
Andrew Marshall, RA

Andrew is a licensed architect and architectural historian with more than a decade of practice in historic preservation. His professional experience encompasses numerous National Register of Historic Places-listed properties across an array of preservation project types
John K. Mott, FAIA
DIRECTOR OF PRESERVATION
John is a leading preservation architect in the country; he has led the JMA Preservation design team on more than 150 restoration and adaptive reuse projects. Of his projects, more than 20 have been National Landmark buildings, with another 35 National Register structures.
